Now, should he stop sinning and repent for what he had done, then I do not see a problem with him continuing to preach, but to continue living in sin, even if it was as you example, fornication before marriage, without repenting would mean that he should not lead others in the faith. Clergy are called and ordained servants of the Word, therefor they are held to higher standards than most. They know this and willingly accept this. For them to willingly sin, no matter what it is and not repent means that they are not worthy of the cloth.
